“We just had a home inspection by Bob Sisson (Inspections by Bob), and while we didn't think there were any problems, we were quite enlightened. Bob found two fire hazards (one we weren't aware of, and one that was stupidity on our part); many ways our house was losing a lot of heat (with easy to fix solutions); a little bit of rotting wood; places where ants can get in (also easy to fix solutions); safety issues; and many more things. That home inspection was an excellent investment! I'm sure we will save quite a lot on our gas bill. Oh, also, there was a gas leak which the gas company came out to fix. Some of those were big problems, and we had no idea. Bob Sisson really helped us out, and we recommend the home inspection.”

Just a note to say how pleased we were with the inspection. We were very happy that you didn't pull any punches. Ever since our first home inspection (which was done by an inspector who was deep in the pocket of the seller's agent), we've felt very strongly that the only good inspection is a brutally honest inspection and that's what you have given us. Usually, all we have going into these things is our ignorance and blind optimism, so we desperately need a reality check, and that's what we rely on the inspection for. In this case, your diligent work saved us from making a big and potentially costly mistake.

Bob was incredible! He inspected our house, built in the 1800s and he knew everything about old houses. He was careful with things that would impact our safety but he understood how old houses age. Not only did he do an amazingly thorough inspection of the whole house, but he also walked around to 2 barns, 2 silos, and other outbuildings with us, even though those weren't included in the inspection! We can't thank you enough.
