Home Checkup

Your car gets annual tune ups.You get your teeth looked at annually. Your Kids get shots. Even the family pets get looked at routinely.

What about your home?

Maybe you had your home inspected when you bought it.  How long ago was that.?

A Home Checkup is similar to a complete home inspection, but we concentrate more on maintenance issues and provide some additional information of WHY it is so important to do the maintenance (It saves money in the long run)   We suggest a Home Checkup when a home gets to 75% of the life expectancy of any of its components (about 12 years) or after the home has finished settling in (about 3-4 years after construction.) Obviously, if you didn't have a home inspection when you bought your home, and want to learn more about taking care of it now is a good time as well.

A Home Checkup vs a Home Inspection ?

  • A home checkup is a more limited inspection than the State or ASHI Home Inspection.
  • A home checkup is not suitable for use in Real-Estate transactions.
  • The report comes in a Folder rather than a Binder.
  • The report does not inclued the "How to Opperate your Home" booklet.
  • The report does not inclued as many printed pictures.

  • The report DOES inclued sections for an interview questionaire, an Index, Grounds, Exterior, Foundation/roof/attic, plumbing, Heating/cooling/electric, interior/garage. kitchen, bathrooms, and the most important page, the general notes.
  • We always inclued relavant brochures and flyers from our own library.
  • We can still perform Water tests or provide Neiborhood Enviornmental Reports.

This is also a good check-in/Check-out inspections for renters or landlords
