Water Testing

We offer the standard Bacteria/Nitrite/Nitrate test. The test fee includes collection, preparation and shipping to a Certified Testing Lab. Bob is a Certified Water Collector (MDE Certification No. 0902-00-829). (See the section about additional tests on our FAQ page). Test results are typically available in three business days.

More complete tests are available if you have concerns, but they are not normally covered by contingencies and they can take much longer to process,

Please note: water testing requires at least 24 hour advance notice and can only be performed Mon-Thur as the lab is not open saturday to accept samples shipped on friday.

 

If you have concerns about local environmental conditions we suggest you obtain a local environmental report which will detail all EPA identified environmental conditions of note near the property.  Additional information about the reports can be found at:   EDR    or by asking Bob.  We offer these reports for a nominal fee.  These must be ordered ahead of time as they take a few hours to be generated.  We can either email the report to you or bring it with us to the inspection.  (you can also order them without an inspection for the same fee)

 

For a more complete non-realestate transaction water test, we suggest contancting www.aquaMD.com. We can do the tests, but would need to charge you for the test kits, our time, and a markup.  They are very easy to do and AquaMD sends good instructions along with their sampling kits.  We suggest doing a complete "basline" test once you have moved in to determine what if any additional comtaminates are presant that you might want to treat.  You should re-run this test every few years or if anything happens that make you suspect your aquifer conditions have changed.  (all of a sudden all of the weeds in your neighbors lawn are dead, someone starts changing their oil in their back yard, etc...)

Payment is due at the time of inspection. We accept cash, checks, American Express, MasterCard or Visa. We cannot offer terms, escrow or accept 3rd party checks
